Merit raises are based on performance. I got a raise of 5k this year, despite pandemic.. im a TP.
Dont worry. Make internal switch or external.
Everyone I’ve seen that leaves my old team leaves on bad footing with the team. It’s a place where the leadership clings on to people who come into the org cuz nobody wants to work in the team and everyone is overworked. But now I’m on a different team at Ford that feels even more overworked for the pay offered. looking at what I’m gaining by staying seems at Ford feels minimal- the assignments I seem to get are the shit work ‘throw out the trash’ assignments that nobody else wants to do. And then, ya, those assignments aren’t known for getting raises. The skills I have: Python, graphic design, statistics, how to build+take apart computers, aren’t recognized or rewarded at Ford. Often, when I exercise them I get in trouble. Seems dumb to stay somewhere where I predominantly am criticized and seldomly rewarded. Alas, I’m just another cranky person on blind complaining about their employer. Water is wet.
