My partner got an offer from Meta in August last year with Joining in March. Since then it took a few months to process the petition for E3 (Australian equivalent of H1B). After that it has been a few months we are trying to get a visa appointment at different US consulates in Australia. Even with approved expedited appointment our next appointment is in June this year.
From what we are seeing worldwide there are extreme visa delays in most places and we are not the only ones in this. My question is - if you are in this situation, how you and your company are dealing with these type of delays? What are our options? Are companies delaying joining date due to this unforeseen situations?

No idea how US companies are handling these huge delays.
