I’ve been actively looking for a job for the last 3-4 weeks and I haven’t had too much traction. Working at aws and the job search is really taking a toll on my happiness and well being. I’m not a dev or engineer and lately there hasn’t been many openings within my expertise (sales planning, demand planning, strategy, biz ops). Wanted to see how I can make myself visible and marketable when reqs do open up and recruiters are actively looking. I have a profile in LinkedIn, Glassdoor and indeed. I mostly get contacted via LinkedIn but I usually only get 4-5 views a week. I have “AWS” as my employer and dunno if I should change it to Amazon dot com I mostly search in LinkedIn for roles. Otherwise not sure where else to consider. If anyone would be happy to review my LinkedIn and resume, happy to connect for feedback. Thanks all. Really appreciate the help.
Reach out to your network. It may be an acquaintance whom you have not talked with for 5 years - doesn't matter, reach out. Their referral gets you into the recruitment pipeline and recruiters will reach out to you when there are openings. Also, have someone you trust take a critical look at your resume. Double-check that you've set your profile as "actively looking" in LinkedIn, Indeed, Hired etc.
