Backend vs Frontend

I feel the teams on the frontend side (web, mobile) enjoy good work life balance, good work spaces, get to collaborate with more counterparts (design, back end, PMs etc) with equal growth opportunities as back end guys (there are partner, CVPs for client).

Do you feel front end is better overall in terms of career potential, lateral movement opportunities, pay and perks vs back end guys in the industry in general?
