Does a hiring manager receive the result of background check?
Why are you worried? Which company are you moving to?
I got big salary bump as well as level. But at Amazon, I am not making that much and my responsibility is not as broad as that they offered. So I am a little worried that they may be surprised with that.
A background check does not reveal salaries, at least in California.
What are the things covered in a background check? Just criminal history?
Education and employment history. They compare discrepancies on the resume.
School and previous employment are also covered
Someone lied on their resume to join our team, went through the loop and their background check found a discrepancy 😂 That person was banned for like 2 years from applying to Microsoft.
What did they lie about?
Resume. Updated my post.
I don't think it's a hiring manager's business. This is an HR matter, and it takes place with HR/recruiting team. Hiring manager probably doesn't care much about this, unless something wrong is found and they can't hire the candidate, then the hiring manager will know.
No... even if they do, it probably just goes to their spam folder, what manager in their right mind has the time to read a background check report? Also HR is the one who determines if you get hired or not (based on your background check).
This whole thing make me sick.. First submit an offer and only then spy on your candidate? Even if you didn't tell a single lie this whole situation is stressful. Usually by now you've resigned from your current job, and maybe told a few people you have a new job. What if someone along the way decides to withdraw the offer? Collosal.
Op what happened?
yep
All the contents in it as well?
they can only verify name title and yrs worked. Salary is confidential
