Personally, getting burnt out. I went into it after graduating mostly for the money, and I'm sorta getting sick of it. I know a few people around me who transitioned into a strategic finance role in the west coast. I'm wondering if anyone on Blind has had a similar experience transitioning out of consulting into tech -- what was your experience like and are you happy with your decision? What type of work do most "strategic finance" roles do?
roles can vary a lot at startups. i’d prefer those that work closely with product teams
I just went a similar route. Tbh I’m not sure if I’m happy. Obviously coming from a consulting background, I’m more used to strategic thinking, but the work is 50% FPA, 50% actual strategy & project management. WLB is better, pay is better.
