For those who had the experience from working in a startup from series A/B to later rounds like E/F, how much did your base salary increase in each round? What about cash bonuses? #startups Edit (myself): Series A: 125k Series B: 165k (5k bonus) Series C: 185k (no bonus yet)
My salary didn’t correlate to startup lifecycle.
Seed: 60-70k; no bonus Series A:90-110k; 10% bonus for Sr IC; 125-135k; 25% bonus for People Manager Series B: 115-125k; 10% bonus for Sr IC; 140-165k; 15-30% bonus for People Manager Series C: 200-225k; 0-20% bonus for People Manager This is for roles on the business side and across the Bay Area market. YMMV in Seattle, LA or SD. HTH
How about equity
To minimize complexity, I did not include equity for this thread. I typically value it at zero because it's highly illiquid even when there is value. I've done better with BTC and ETH when compared to startup equity. Maybe I don't know how to pick them
I spent 6 years at one startup and almost 2 at another. I never received a bonus at either startup, but had a good amount of equity at the first one, which sadly amounted to nothing. First startup Seed: 80k Series B: 90k -> 100k Series C: 100k -> 110k Second startup Series B: 140k -> 147k
Zilch NADA Nothing Zero
