Hi guys , I remember , back in 2013, when DevOps was still experimental and was not largely adopted everywhere. But during 2015 and onwards there was a lot of traction across many sectors . It was a perfect fit across many fields , in microservices , cloud migration , devsecops , etc. Even SREs, I feel might have come after DevOps' initiation . And I so precisely remember that our company was going all out on riding the new DevOps wave, there was a huge demand for them in terms of openings. Now coming to my questions where I seek software wisdom , tech opinions , or downright prescience. What could be the next tech-adoption , things which you feel have a great potential , things which might lead to a role-specific hiring frenzy. Danke #tech #wisdom #opinion #boomtechnology
I think DevOps, DevSecOps is still the new DevOps. That need is still there and badly needed at organizations in both culture and tooling. However, cloud security (architect/engineer), EDR, threat intel are all growing faster in need - more-so than I remember seeing DevOps/SREs back in 2013.

Only maybe if they can come up with sweet pills for Covid 😉
