Trying to decide between the two. Comp is fairly close around 200-220k. Stripe is paper money though.

1. Real money > Monopoly money (no IPO guarantee)
2. Faster promo from what I’ve heard (comp is solid at CB)
3. More interesting work. Crypto > stupid payment processing app.
With Coinbase, you get cash now, but the crypto market will crash (4 year market cycle) along with Coinbase unless they decouple. With stripe, it’s paper money until IPO, but price will likely be more stable once stonks are on the open market.
Best advice I can give you is join the company where your work would be more interesting, which is probably Coinbase. You’d make a ton of money either way so optimize for experience and mental health
Honestly Coinbase could be a really good lotto ticket. I have a friend who became a millionaire off of the shares/crypto he got over like 2 years
