Same salary, more updated tooling, never on page, fun technology, better languages, not pigeon holed into 1 tech, more jobs, better at full stack development. Front-end is better than backend any day of the week. Like if you agree
keep telling yourself that π
I'd much prefer backend and think it's more interesting, but then I'd probably have more significant on-call responsibilities. I like having a life beyond my work.
Learning a new js framework every week? No thanks lol!
You either talking about something else, not programming, or never tried being a back end dev.
ππππππππ
πππππ dude you made my day
OPs name checks out
Yaaaas
You do have more demo opportunities, I guess
Full stack bruh. Backend - But it's the same stubs and client boiler plate that you fill for backend. Just framework is different. Same concepts of scalability i.e three nines, quorum reads, latency, resourcing etc. Frontend - JavaScript I absolutely hate with a passion. But I'll complete the task assigned anyways. I do it just for sake of doing. Device - iOS and Android is fun. Different multithreading, caching, efficiency challenges on the device. Flutter is super fun now. Work on everything. Move up and down the stack. What's with frontend and backend pissing contest?
Flutter is an alternative to react native?
Idea is - same code will run on both Android and iOS It's pretty cool.
100% If you learn how to demo with style you can impress PMs and backend engineers because they fear JS and CSS πππ. Makes you look like a complete boss.
Try changing companies and role, front end is not considered engineering, testing of html/java script
Sounds like you donβt know what front end engineering is
i dont even think anything related to software development real is engineering (though I am a software guy). electronics, mechanix, chemical, bio ..... are real engineers.
