What are some of the best 401k plans you guys know? I hear Southwest gets 10% matching...but they get low salary. Google has high salary but only does up to 9.5k (50% of your contributions). With Capital One, if you put in 6% they put in 7.5%
You should also look for After tax 401k contribution. Not many offer this. No company contribution. For Microsoft 27k is the limit.
But after tax you can do the backdoor Roth if you have the money. Are there any other benefits of going Roth 401k?
After tax 401k can go into either Roth 401k or Roth IRA accounts and is simpler. Backdoor is complicated and you have to make sure all Traditional IRA money is converted. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/heres-why-you-may-want-to-reconsider-doing-that-backdoor-roth-ira-conversion-2019-04-17
MSFT, 50% match cap relative to IRS limit for pretax/roth. Mega backdoor Roth so max out $56k all-in. Instant vesting. We win. Nuff said.
GM gives 8% for up to 4% contributed (200 pct matching). Visa gives 10% for up to 5% contribution
Not this again ! Just search in blind and you'll find exhaustive thread about 401k
About how to allocate it sure. Not different company rates

Bloomberg does almost 8k on 19k if you max out. They also give you an option where you can pre-tax up to 75% of the bonus in the 401k. (In the 19k limit) The downside is 3 year vesting period.
