Depends , which country are you originally from ?
European, speak several languages (good at learning new ones).
Clearly not English
*Stares from Florence* List is kinda narrow. *Stares from summer place in Lisbon* Zurich is dope, the lake make a strong argument. London? Is that in Europe? ;-)
Remote in eastern Europe
How to find such remote jobs?
Dublin?

London is overcrowded and cost of living is shit. It’s a horrible place to commute and work in, weather is shit (and I’m from Seattle...). Just being in the subway there every day would make me wish for the corona to take out every other person now. Amsterdam isn’t a tech hub, neither is Zurich where it just means working for a bank. Berlin is where it’s at. Great city, cool culture, tons of startups and large companies. I’d move there no questions. Source: have teams and travel to London/Berlin each year... am European born and raised. Wouldn’t move to Zurich for double my pay. London would make me depressed immediately. Amsterdam is cool but boring in long run...
About companies: Amsterdam has Uber/Databricks/Booking, I'd say is an European tech hub. Zurich has Google, some apple/Facebook, some startups (getyourguide which is a unicorn). London is the biggest hub by far. Berlin has Amazon, Zalando, many startups, meaning a lot of good opportunities, not many great ones. About QoL: London if you're in big tech you can afford to live in the city, meaning good enough commute. It's a very big city so it has all the pros and cons of big cities. Zurich is kind of the opposite of London. Small, very liveable, lots of nature. Not too international, there are more interesting places for social life. Amsterdam I don't know it too well. Seems like something between London and Zurich. Berlin I agree it's pretty awesome because kind of has the pros of London (big, multicultural, social) and of Zurich (liveable, quite green, chill). Money: More money in Zurich if you're at Google or in London if you're in a hedge fund, otherwise I'd say it's pretty much the same.
Having an office doesn’t mean it’s a big tech investment. Often it is mostly commercial in nature. Look up the size of tech meetups and conferences in Zurich or Amsterdam and compare to London/Berlin for a better sense.
