Im looking to interview for ML SDE positions soon and am trying to find the best book to prepare. For background I am only skilled in Python as it is what I have developed in full time over the past 4 years of employment. I am proficient in other languages but want a job using mainly Python and from my understanding (PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong) python is the leader in this space anyway. 1. CtCI is the gold standard from what I understand but it isn't in Python. I can easily translate the logic to python but seems like 2. Elements of coding interviews in Python is better since it's already in python. 3. I imagine there are books out there specifically related to ML that may be better than either of the previous options since I dont think 1 or 2 will touch on NumPy, Pandas, linear algebra, etc at all. All of the above would be used in conjunction with leetcode as well. Thank You!
EPI's problem set is a bit more comprehensive than CtCI. IIRC there is no chapter on dynamic programming in CtCI.
There is a CTCI chapter on dp, but I agree with you that it's not terribly comprehensive. Haven't looked at the EPI chapter though.

I’d recommend to get on kaggle and complete as many projects as u can. Better than many books imo
Kaggle is useless for ML SDE
Why is kaggle useless?
