My daughter is going to start college in August. Thinking of best laptop to get for her considering performance, durability and portability.

College students usually use their laptop for the entire 4 years so I recommend invest $ !

Depends on what is her major. Some engineering major need windows laptop bcs of software compatibility. If she doesn’t need any of those software that are only available on Windows, I’d recommend macbook. I still uses mine that I bought freshman year 7 years ago and it still works well.

  Too much weight. Take that from someone who wanted a beastly laptop in terms of internal specs, but was lugging a huge machine with me everywhere. Wished I had something smaller by the end of college
