OP, why does it matter the community here agrees with you that TMobile is better than Google, based on a random news article? The important question is are you happy at TMobile?

Because Blind is 75% inhabited by young people with FOMO who are insecure and think they are at the wrong company.

eh, FAANG not only tops in employee satisfaction but also pay. I doubt the top 5 on this list pay as high as FAANG

Agreed with Southwest. Pay is pretty good for Dallas area(though not top most), culture is amazing, we get generous profit sharing(best in the world actually), 9.3% 100% 401k match, and free standby flights on Southwest and heavily discounted on other airlines. I've traveled all over the US and 6 continents for pleasure, in record time, costing me about 10% of what it would for anyone else. And have found some great travel buddy coworkers too! We rank up there with the FANG(Amazon is never on any of these for good reason lol) on almost every ranking not just this one

I live in FL and am at $300k TC with salesforce...it is doable outside the bay

Dang 300 TC is impressive for non Bay area. Are you a SWE? I think our Sr SWEs make $130-150k base. I'm not SWE, just in Tech. Of course, we don't do RSUs lol

I can tell you that Globant is the worst place to work for. Well maybe a little bit higher than Tata and Infosys, but not much.
This is probably the ranking of who contributed the most to USA TODAY

Sportclip and Chick-fil-A are way up on that list too.

Why not consider leaving Google for those opportunities. Are you for real with this shit?

Ugh any magazine list is based on some select list of data. I can make a list that shows anything I want based on the data I select. Use. Your. Brain. FFS....

'Oh it says Boise is the best place to live, I better move there. And GM had the best cards in the world, so I'm going to work there.'

The book was written by an author who was not used to marketing culture. It's the kind of place staffed by young people who like to dress up in animal costumes to make silly videos and spout exaggerated enthusiasm. What do you expect? If they don't believe their own marketing who would? I've seen that culture even in a Fortune 500 company. That does not go over well with someone who oozes cynicism.

But Hubspot is a great place to work, as an engineer. If you are burnt out by the endless mini death marches imposed by Scrum, the pointless make work meetings, the CYA inflation of story time estimates, endless processes and rules, thwarted from deploying your work by bureaucracy ... Hubspot is a welcome relief. Here you click a button to push your own work to production as soon as you are ready, and only when you are ready. The freedom, autonomy and support is amazing.
