I tried Balsamic on Mac which is easy to use and perfect for the work I am doing. Except I wish they had a iPad version where I could draw the UI using Apple Pencil. Is there no UI mockup tool using iPad and Apple Pencil. Note that I cannot use tools which give you a blank canvas and you are supposed to like draw even a textbox from scratch (like sketch or photoshop). Because I'm not a graphic designer by profession. I need something which has UI shapes like textbox, dropdowns, labels, etc. and I can just use those from the stencil and then draw it with a pencil on the iPad. I want to lie down in my bed and let my imagination loose on improving the UX for the project on which my team will be working on in 2019.
You know that Sketch has shapes right? It’s also for UX/UI mainly
Sketch is so hard that I gave up on it. It was cheaper than Balsamiq so I got it first. but I couldn't make any progress with it even for days. I guess when has to be a full time graphics designer to use that tool.
InVision iOS app has a Freehand feature.
Let me give it a try.
Adobe Comp is kind of like that, but it’s still pretty limited. Not sure you can do drop downs, but you should check it out. The gestures are pretty fun.
Hire a real designer
Nothing beats pen and paper
That's what I use but it leads to a lot of waste each time I scrap it and make a new design. I end up wasting tons of pages in drafts. Also pretty easy to lose and forget at home.
