I am not learning anything at my current company (app is too simple, rest of team is very junior), and was wondering what some great Android or mobile-centric companies are. I already know Square and Airbnb are top notch, but what are some others?
Consumer facing companies (Robinhood, Discord, Slack) as opposed to enterprise focused ones (Splunk, Oracle, Databricks)
Appreciate the recommendations!
Loads of companies in the Bay area, but depends on what you want. All the PAULs are very mobile focused and are hiring for Android, but then you have to hope the IPO does well. Also most startups, but the hours there might not be that great. You could join Microsoft/LinkedIn for nicer hours, Facebook for money, Amazon for free AWS... Or try OOM?
What are PAULS and OOM?
PAULs are the unicorns IPOing this year: Pinterest, Airbnb, Uber, Lyft. OOM is opportunity open market. Salesforce lets you switch to a different team if you want, and there are many Android products at Salesforce
