I need to set up a security camera inside my house. It needs to record 24/7 and store the footage on the cloud. Intruder alert/face detection is a plus. What's the best option out there? Nest seemed cool but I didn't like the subscription required. Thoughts?

Trust issues? :)
Keep in mind that filming people (like family members) without them knowing it is illegal. For example, if you find out your husband/wife is cheating on you because of a secret camera, you can’t use that as proof in courts, and you can actually get sued yourself. Just FYI.
I am trying to protect myself from burglars.

What do the company tags have to do with the stupid question?
I’d recommend Nest. I wouldn’t trust cheap cameras from unknown producers, their security is terrible.
Thank you for your input.

Blink's free service is very good. But it only records clips when something happens. Who has the time for multiple 24/7 video feeds?
Be very careful about recording audio indoors where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Pretty sure it’s breaking the law so definitely do your homework
If it’s your home you can do that, but you must warn people (eg with a sign) that there’s a camera.
Not necessarily true. Depending on the state, it may require consent from your guests: https://thewirecutter.com/blog/security-cameras-ethics-and-the-law/
