Asking for a friend who recently graduated — what roles are good for new grads non engineering major with some quantitative background at Accenture? What roles might be good for a friend looking to work at Accenture to learn and gain experience?
They hired me recently as a technology analyst— basically they train you to do IT implementation. I was a math and Econ major and most analysts in technology are more math heavy stem majors or management information systems majors. I think Accenture is good for the right kind of person. You really have to network here in order to be successful.
you have to hustle. self study. knock out projects and leave good impression to the client and peers. learn the consulting and overall business model of accenture. you can start networking by joining programs like the MDA (master data architect) then people will just come after you for SME advice if you perform like a level 6 while you are level 10-11 then you'll get noticed and get rewarded btw for new grads check out our ESPP
I recently got an offer for the Technology Analyst position as well but I was also told that there would also be opportunities to work in project/program management, change management and business analyst type positions. Can anyone confirm this fact?
You’re going to have very little control over your projects; and getting leadership to listen to you in terms of the skills you want to develop? Good luck.
I’m technically on the PMO track but tbh at the analyst level PMO is mostly tracking excel spreadsheets— you’re not gonna be doing anything super impactful
Friends don’t let friends work at Accenture
(I just quit. Yay!)
Where are you going?
