Best neighborhood/apartments near Amazon

I will be joining Amazon, Seattle and wanted to know which apartments are good for a studio and near to Amazon building. Also is SLU preferred? I heard there are shuttles from Bellevue, but are they good? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank You! TC - 135K YOE - 10 months

Don't live in SLU it's boring. Belltown or Cap Hill.

Are belltown and Cap Hill far from office? What would be commute options? And can you recommend nice apartment complex there?

Depends on what building you're in. Both neighborhoods border SLU, so they will be closer to some offices. Commute is likely walking or biking.

There’s a lot of nice apartments in Seattle. But I think it all depends on your budget. A majority of the apartments around SLU will be around $2k-2.5k+/month. If you look hard and are flexible you may find something cheaper. What’s important to you? Safety? Quiet? Being close to cafes/restaurants? Walkability? (What city are you coming from?)

Safety and easy to commute to office. I am coming from Philadelphia. Budget 1500-1700 for a studio.

Cap Hill is popular because there’s a lot of things to do (and shops are open late). Anywhere that has a lightrail station or trolly you can easily get to Amazon. Some neighborhoods to checkout: Eastlake, Westlake, Belltown, Caphill, Ballard, Fremont is one of my favorite neighborhoods (lots of coffee shops, breweries, and close to water/trails. lots of buses from here), Pioneer Square is a cool spot (if you’re a sport fan). While Bellevue/Kirkland are great, i recommend staying closer to campus for your first year. Then move further out as you become more familiar with the city and traffic
