Best phone carrier in terms of cost and value

Could anybody recommend which phone carrier is the best in terms of cost, service and value. I am currently using AT&T and I live in Boston. The problem right now I am having is the value what I am getting for the price what I am paying is low w.r.t data. The only thing I am worried about switching to other network is signal problems if I travel to any new places. I had used T-mobile in the past and I had problems when I was traveling( back in 2016 ) in different states where there was no signal at all. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Project Fi. Super cheap.

Will it work any where in the country?

Yep it does. It uses Sprint or TMobile whichever has a better service in the area.

Looks like Apple phones do not work with Fi

If you are using android it’s project Fi

I'd love to use Fi but they don't support the phones in my household (iPhone and OnePlus). :(

Project Fi would be expensive if you are data heavy. Say you use 5 GB a month. With Fi, you would be paying close to 70$. Tmobile is way cheaper and more benefits like free messaging and data in 140+ countries.

If you keep coverages, international calls and roaming, Fi wins hands down

Problem with T-Mobile is it’s coverage is terrible in the us

I use TMobile. They don't have the best reception but the price is low plus free international data roaming, unlimited data and free on flight wifi. I figure if I am in a place where TMobile has signals at all, usually other carriers won't have singnals either

xfinity mobile is actually the cheapest and on the Verizon network so no network issues. plans start at $12 per GB or $45 for unlimited and upto 5 lines free if you have Xfinity internet.

If you are concerned about signal and want to stay with ATT, you can try Cricket. If you don't mind switching TMobile is good deal with family plan. Fi if you use minimal data and still want roaming but no family plan. Sprint if you want unlimited data affordable. Check them all out.

T-mobile has gotten a lot better with the band 12 rollout in the past few years, and will be even better (on those few phones that support it) when the 600mhz band rolls out. It still has less rural coverage than Verizon, but urban speeds are usually better.
