I am a new grad and secured my first job in Bay Area. Looking to buy a car but have never shopped for a car before. Looking to buy a used/certified pre-owned car for below 20k and other considerations as follows: - 2015+ model - <70k miles - preferrably compact SUV - good mileage and reliable - not too clunky to drive Looking at the above criteria, I think the Mazda CX5 or Mazda6 seems like the best car for me but I don’t know where to go looking for good deals on these cars! Any suggestions are welcome. Also open to other car suggestions
Mazda 😱
Try Carvana / Shift / Vroom / CarMax if you want minimal hassle. The CX5 is a good choice. Do research on each model + model year you want to consider.
Unless you're paying $600+ a month for a lease!
Enterprise car sales
You will get screwed when the taxes are included. So beware about this. They are usually 1-2k over the displayed price for a car at 10k
I got my car on autolist.com their app is super easy to use. If you want something low maintenance, Japanese car is top choice. Toyota chr and Honda CR-V are both really good choices. But if you just want something with a lot of rooms, I would suggest the current gen Civic hatchback. It's the best car I have ever driven, yet fits so much stuff in the truck
I would check craigslist (sometimes good catch), dealerships (will negotiate aggressively) and I think there was a website certifiedpreowned
