If you had $100k to deploy in the market for very very long term(12-15yrs) what would be your startegy? Would you go with target date funds? Actively manage and deploy over 4-6 months? Have it high interest bank and deploy in multiple ETFs or Funds pver 2-3 years? Or buy everything in lumpsum in a select few funds? Lets assume stock market, Reit are the main investments
All in.. if you want mental peace do dollar cost avg. i.e invest slowly . How big is your portfolio ? Just wanted to know how it compares with 100k
Portfolio is mainly 401k and Roth (~350k). This is a new stream I want to create for supplementing retirement income. I’m already overexposed in real estate.. so no more real estate investment
Seems like 100k is significant portion of your portfolio. Do cost averaging over 6 to 12 months and diversify. Do not put all in one stock.
Real estate
Where and why? Why not stocks
Not bay area. Look in the south east. You can look up the math, but the returns are much more and more tax savings
One of SPY or VOO ... buy periodically reinvest the dividends ... Rinse and repeat ...
Statically it better to do all in for long term. Its better 2/3 times
