Hi Blinders, I am currently having a hard time finding a good workout schedule going for me. I hate gym and running on treadmills. During summer , I go running every week and love it. I tired running past few weeks, but I am having issues with breathing and was down with severe cold for few days. I even tried going to one of those indoor cycling classes, but it seems lame and targeted towards people who just want to sweat a little. What do you guys with breathing , sinus issues do for workout in winters? Salary : 120k Base
HIIT body weight workouts since you like cardio lol
Why not get into lifting?
Sounds likes a cardio person not a lifting person
If you lift a certain way it can become cardio 😁. Plus, it's a lot more entertaining than the treadmill. You can get a lot of variation in
Orangetheory
+1 for orangetheory. I'm only a couple weeks in but it's been very good for me so far.
What's so good about it?
Move to someplace warmer

Peloton has an app where you can access their live and recorded classes and follow the instructor on any treadmill. It’s $19 a month. I used to hate running on the treadmill also but since using this app i enjoy it a lot more and now I do treadmill workouts 2x a week even when the weather is nice and just do a long outdoor run on the weekend. I also think treadmill is a bit easier on the knees so I’m glad to actually enjoy it more. Good luck!
For 19 a month you can find a gym and get a real workout in.
I’m sorry, what
Location? I got winter gear. Had trouble initially but now I am used to running in cold. Pm me if you need more tips
Ya in the Seattle area, as long as it’s not raining heavily (and ideally not dark), running outside in the winter is fine as long as you have some warmer running clothes.
Crossfit. The cult status is a result of super high customer satisfaction because people actually lose weight, build muscle and have fun doing it. If you're worried about getting hurt, it comes with the territory. Anyone who is actually fit and active has some sort of injury history. For comparison, I've got a few friends who play intramural sports. One has torn her ACL twice, another repeatedly sprains an ankle. I've also seen twisted knees, and shot backs. But crossfit is dangerous.
Thanks , yes thought about CrossFit, was planning to get used to some weight lifting first before I try such intense routines
I've did crossfit forever and competed at a really high level for a while and refocusing my efforts to my career. DM me and I'll tell you the good and the bad. And what to look for in a gym should you chose to start. You dont need to "get in shape" before starting. My favorite newbies were always the bros who "loved" working out and thought they were the $#!+ before starting. That first workout always crushed them. As long as you go in without an ego you'll be fine.
Buy the Oculus quest.. I like Creed and beat saber.. they make me sweat on medium to hard mode... It's not much of an exercise, but this is what helps me when it's snowing outside and I don't feel like going to the gym..

Why do you hate running on treadmills?
I easily get bored with it, i enjoy outdoor activities like running , road cycling, hiking ..etc
I enjoy running on treadmills much more when I listen to a good podcast while running. If you want to stay out, try hiking or snowshoeing. Many people like skiing or snowboarding.
