Best/Worst teams to join @ Lyft
Going through team matching at Lyft and am seeking advice. Have got full-stack experience, but find back-end work more stimulating. Also have a budding interest in distributed systems/data engineering after reading Designing Data Intensive Applications (Payments team maybe?). Have a longer term goal of working as a lead at a startup or potentially cofounding my own so was thinking Growth could be a good fit too? I know my profile is kind of all over the place, but youth is the time to explore right?

How about Rider? What are some good infra teams?

Don't even think about Growth. Lyft's Growth team has a very toxic environment and culture. Especially the growth marketing.
Lyft growth is a lot of ex Facebook people. Wonder if that is a factor?
True. But the whole growth marketing team is now going to be removed from Jon A to be under Heather. That means Jon will focus all his time on engineering 😂 Which might be bad news for wlb
