Better.com: Is there any recording of the conversation AFTER the layoff meeting?
I wonder if anyone recorded the CEO's remarks after the initial layoff video conference. I've heard he said some pretty negative things about the employees he just laid off and that the remaining employees are on notice.

there’s a business insider article that sums up perfectly what he said after the firing call, essentially that you can’t fail more than once, be vigilant everyone is watching..like worst things to say
will he issue a public statement? i feel like he has to now like everyone saying they won’t do business with them wouldn’t that just cause another round of layoffs?
There's an engineering all-hands with him tomorrow. The rumor mill says that basically every VP involved in messaging (marketing, PR, internal comms, external comms) already put in resignation letters, so I'd hope he's aware enough to not say anything else publicly. I'm sure someone will be recording that one, although I expect it to be very boring to the peanut gallery in comparison.
The employees at Better.com should stage coordinated exodus. Just hire a lawyer to represent you all together and quit all at once.
really sorry to see this happening. Employment agreements are almost always "at-will". No lawyer can override that.
i don’t get it tho you can’t join a company heading to ipo and not expect it to be volatile, like ppl had to figure there would be mass layoffs
That guy is a giant POS… if I worked there the best thing to do is to sit around and do nothing…. Cash a check, because they obviously don’t care about you as a person

Am a survivor. Can confirm the meeting where we were informed we survived was comparable to a speech Seal Team 6 might have received. Prety gut-wrenching times. Team morale is in the trash and everyone looking over their shoulder considering there was no legitimate reasoning to who was selected. They were top performers, bottom performers as well as several people who employees would refer to as "the face of Better". Anyone who wants to learn more or knows about and sales opportunities in blockchain, would be happy to DM!
