I’ve noticed that PANW decrypts traffic to certain websites. For example, I noticed this while acessing my old Yahoo email yesterday. Personally I’m careful about what sites I visit when using my work laptop. In fact, I NEVER connect my phone to the corportate WiFi or mobile VPN for this reason. I also rarely ever use my work laptop for personal use at home — whenever I do, I turn off the VPN client. But then again who knows what’s being recorded on the machine. I no longer open my Yahoo mail (and a few other sites I’ve noticed PAN decrypts) while at work. I always double check every site I visit to make sure big brother isn’t a “middleman.” I don’t want to have to keep doing this at work. Any thoughts around the legality of snooping people’s personal data @ work?
You're a bit paranoid. They already know all about you by now. I've watched even porn on my work laptop. I guess it's fine as long as you don't do it in their time and don't compromise data security
In reality most companies don’t want to spend the time or resources to constantly look at the employee data they have collected. Of course it’s there for them to dig through if you are suddenly under investigation for misconduct of any kind....so just don’t do shady shit.
With few exceptions the law says you can’t expect privacy on your employer’s property. Anything you do on company computer can be recorded.
Yahoo mail? What is this, the 90s?
Just bring in your personal phone and/or computer at work; and use a good vpn. I use protonmail & their VPN so I can do personal stuff at work. And obviously, never do anything outside your paid role (if you can help it) on the company owned assets

I haven’t done shit today!
You probably signed an employee handbook that says you agree the company can and will snoop on everything on their equipment, including laptop, network, phones, etc. maybe even allowed management to search your bags, cars in the parking lot or anything else on company property.
