This means prices can be artificially inflated or depressed for years. I would say it’s not a good idea to invest in something that has 1) No utility 2) Not a unit of value 3) fictitious and subject to manipulation. 4) Illiquid from the point of limits on number of transactions possible. When I think about Bitcoin transaction capacity, I imagine a large theatre with one door. When prices collapse, it will be violent.

A simple litmus test is if you can derive some estimate of the price in the future without any reference to the current price. With equities, you can. With Bitcoin, you can not.
