Anybody heard of this startup located in Austin? Was acquired by Home Depot awhile ago. Wondering what the WLB, compensation is.
They do large scale crawling of pricing data. Comp is medium for software in Austin. Work/life balance is really good and benefits are decent. Anything else?
Thanks for you input. By medium, how much is that? No idea how the pay in Austin is.
Really hard to say without knowing anything about your experience. Roughly, low pay for a se in Austin would be around 100k tc and high pay would be just over 200k.
They used to have fun startup crawl parties. Had a some weird flakey experiences with them in the past, and in general the rudest and weirdest recruiting experiences in my life were from Home Depot.

Best LCOL or MCOL city?
Are you currently interviewing with them ?
Nope. Just asking. Why ask?
My experience with them was not so great. My interaction with HR wasn’t great bcos they are so strict about your technical skills set & domain knowledge alignment with the position.Their requirement is quite broad and they have Same SE position open for more than a year. I felt they were not quite serious about the job position. I was rejected right after HR call which hasn’t happened to me in last few years being an experienced candidate. Getting rejected in technical phone screen is quite understandable. Just my rant, you might have better experience with them but don’t take them too seriously would be my suggestion.
