Senior Software Engineer. Total first year comp 240K. 170K base 40K performance bonus (80% guaranteed) 30K signon bonus 2.5yoe and Masters. The numbers look great especially with the sign on bonus but I am curious how the 2nd year comp would look like without the sign on. What kind of increments in salary and performance bonus should be expected every year? Secondly, would it he harder to get into FAANG in the future after a stint ar BB?
80% of the 40k is guaranteed?
Depends on location - what location is this offer based in ?
NYC
Good offer. Ask for 100k sign on
Location pls ??
That’s a very good offer but raises will likely be small. Why would it make it harder to get into Fang?
Because Bloomberg
Half of Google NYC is ex-Bloomberg.
Alehop u again. Why so much hatred for BBG dude
That's a really good offer for bbg given your experience. You pretty much get your entire target bonus every year. Raises really depend on how much your manager likes you. It can range from 0 - 15%. Although that's increase is lower at higher comp levels
That's a very good offer by Bloomberg standards. I don't think it will get harder for you to go to FANG once you're at bloomberg. As others pointed out future salary increases are likely to be 5-7%
The bonus is prorated so you won't get the full performance bonus

You might be able to negotiate higher. I received the following offer recently as a new grad: 145k salary 20k performance bonus 100k sign on
Did you have any competing offers?
I told them about my fb offer and this was the first counter offer.
