Bloomberg onsite. Recruiter asked me my expectations. I said we can discuss later. I asked the range, she said depends on team. YOE: 11 years. What should be expected TC? Base and Bonus.
You’ll need to give more context about the role you got the offer for. your current TC, and are you currently employed in NYC? Do you need visa sponsor? Did you get the offer? Or yet to goto the onsite interview?
I am currently in Dallas. Interview is for Senior Software Engineer. Need Visa sponsorship.
$135k
Also, what types of questions they generally ask in the interview apart from leetcode?
For 11 YOE, you should ask for 225k at least. If you have some specialized experience, goes up from there Also remember you'll pay $0 for Healthcare, for your whole family. 50% 401k match as well. Those are biggest 2 perks as I can remember at the moment
The third big perk is Bloomberg Terminal. esp for ppl interested in finance
How much 401k match they gave. And is it immediately vested?
Don’t take anything less than 250... even 270. Might be quite hard to go higher than that without competing offers from top companies. Your bonus should be 15-20% of your base, so you do your own math. They’ll get you your GC though, so there’s that to consider. In NYC they cannot ask about your previous salary — it’s illegal, so don’t worry about that. Good luck, bro. ✊🏻
PS Haha the range depends on the team? What a crock. You can verify that it’s not the case by asking for more when switching teams and getting shut down because HR will tell you that you’ll be doing essentially the same job.

TESLA UP 14% AFTER HOURS 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You’ll get lowball (but reasonable) base, with guaranteed bonus on your first year. One of the companies on wall street with best benefits. You’ll see 3-5% increase in base to match the inflation, along with ~12-18% bonus every year; assuming you are meeting or exceeding expectations. Again, all these depends on the location and the Team. Heard, some teams get paid more than other...
Any advice you can give? What should I ask and which team is better in terms of pay and work life balance?
I heard annual raise can be between 10-15% as well
