Bloomberg vs. Microsoft sales

I have two offers for entry level sales positions:
1) Microsoft (Germany) - solution sales
2) Bloomberg (UK, London) - Analytics and Sales, I start in customer support (mostly over chat), get trained in finance, asset classes etc. and can then switch to Sales after 12-18 months

Compensation is very similar for both when adjusted for location. Which one is better? My initial thought is Microsoft opens up more doors, but Bloomberg offers a more attractive location (London)... Any advices/experiences appreciated!

  • Microsoft for sure.

Nothing against Bloomberg, but in terms of prestige and what makes you more valuable, I would definitely say Microsoft. Also, does Bloomberg even come close in compensation to the cloud players like msft? I wouldn’t even think about it. Also culture will prob be more relaxed at MSFT.. Bloomberg prob feels way more like a stiff bank. I’ve been in tech for 8 years, and wouldn’t blink on it
