Hi!
I’ve been at Amazon for 1 year and recently got an offer from Palantir as an FDE.
Team at Amazon is super chill with manager that is very transparent about career growth and promotion process, and because of that, I feel like a promotion is possible within the timespan of 6 months - 1 year.
With that being said, my expected comp for this year is ~$168,000.
The Palantir first year expected comp is ~$235k
Would it be worth it to stay at Amazon for the promotion pay bump (I don’t know how big the bump is if there is one) and then start looking for a new job? Or would it be better just to take the Palantir offer? Anything else to consider aside from TC?
Palantir is east coast offer and Amazon pay is California based
YOE: 1 year
Thanks!
