Boeing knows the exact fix to the issue. It just takes time since it is not a 1 line of code fix.
The problem is structural and it might not be possible to guarantee there will be not other failure the software did not anticipate. Also there is a huge public perception. Not sure how many people will want to fly on that plane

No. They have already run out of space to park planes. I’m surprised they haven’t already started massive layoffs.
They have a good order backlog. Unless they decide to turn down all these orders, or FAA forbids them from selling the plane, they will do whatever they can to fix the problem.
That plane is structurally unstable and needs to be thrown into the garbage..it should be retired and That should be a lesson for all aviation companies prioritizing profits over safety
This scares me, Boeing is pretty important player in Puget Sound local economy, not sure how long it ll take for BA to recover from this. Stock might be suppressed for quite some time.
