How are the bonuses determined for investment bankers after performing underwriting for IPO? Does it depend on the profits from selling the shares on IPO day or something else?
If you had a bonus based on the IPO then it would be crazy. Maybe it is the case for MDs but as an analyst it is based on your overall performance
If you worked on a successful IPO it sud help get good reviews and rating for comp cycle. Depends on how much profit sharing is allocated to your division and how much your manager likes you to give you max payout for your role
It’s not based on one IPO, but on an overall annual performance of yourself, your team, and the firm. Hope it helps.
