Boss just snuck up on accident while I was applying to a FAANG corp.
I'm tired of the culture here, the way we're building this product and I'm being asked to do something which just seems plain stupid (ie reverse engineering chrome) there's far more time and cost effective ways to do what we need to. And there is an internal power conflict between our operations team lead and engineering lead. Shits too stressful they want me to behave like a "founding" engineer which is just a bullshit way of them trying to make me a no life. I only hold shares in 0.5 percent of this company and I don't see it blowing up to the point where the cash would be worth it. I'm done working endless hours at home etc. Anyways this lead to me applying to 50 different jobs yesterday. and I have two months worth of rent in the bank.but he walks by and sneaks up almost and sees me applying to a job at Apple. I've tried pleading for change if my voice is unheard I'm leaving. Should I even bother trying again.

OP’s real Question: How do I avoid being caught applying to other jobs by my boss. Answer: Apply to jobs outside of work and not using work computer or vpn.
I don't need a VPN and the work computer is fine we don't have any software besides the ones I installed. He just snuck up
