My boss got an email from a recruiter while he was showing me something on his computer. Only reason I know is because i saw the email preview that outlook shows in the corner of his screen. I recognized the name of the company and the preview said “nice to meet you today”. Should I ask him about his plans or just leave it alone. Our company was recently acquired so people are nervous about layoffs. That being said I’m not sure they’d even hire for his role let alone promote someone because of the acquisition.
Your boss probably got taken out for lunch from someone looking for new business as a recruiter. If he was looking why would he give her his work email?
This is far more likely. They hit me up more often to ask if I need to someone, not recruiting me.
Sounds a bit paranoid... And I agree with the post above, I doubt he's leaving, otherwise, because he used his work email
Sometimes people use business cards with their work email on it.
Sometimes "nice to meet you today” is a click bait subject from recruiters.
It might just be his girlfriend 😉 Don't expose his affair.
I think you should just mind your own business. But, you can always tell him that you are interested in joining him again(in person) when he will announce that he is leaving the company and joining somewhere else.
You are nosey
What company is that?
I don’t know that I’m nosy. His screen was being projected during a meeting. Couldn’t really avoid seeing it.
