Need some help picking a company. I've narrowed my current list down based upon a combination of team/company fit, TC (and potential if pre-IPO), levels. The problem I'm having is gauging how bullish I should be on some of these companies doing better than the other (in particular, Robinhood and Brex) Stripe (senior) - $230k base, $240k rsu, and assuming baseline 15% yearly target bonus =~ $504k Brex (senior) - $450k, but I think I can negotiate a bit higher. Choose your own split, will probably be doing $220k base Robinhood (staff) - $240k base, $270k rsu, 10% yearly bonus =~ $540k Plaid (senior) - $215k base, $180k rsu =~ $400k YOE: 5 TC: $300k @ staff level All in Seattle/remote #brex #stripe #plaid #robinhood
What's your strike price of the pre-ipo, and their current evaluations?
Which company? And they haven't mentioned that, just the current valuations, really
Congrats OP, what was your prep strategy?
Thanks! :) I didn't prepare at all. For my current level (Staff), most of my interviews aren't coding, just design
Interesting that you're didn't have any coding at all. Any recommendations on how to study and prepare for the system design rounds?
💪
Great offers for 5 yoe. What’s the role at Robinhood and what to expect in their interview. I’m considering preparing for them.
It's a staff-level SDE. And their interview is pretty generic, but since I'm coming in at a higher level, it was more on systems, architecture, and project dives rather than coding
With 5 yoe what do you think was your key factor for getting staff role. What did they like most about your profile or it was just based on your interview performance ?
Was in a similar situation with quite a few offers and chose Brex, their trajectory is incredible, backed by Ripple and Kleiner Perkins, and trying to IPO in 2023, I spoke to 10+ ppl internally before deciding and 30B-35B IPO seems like the conservative expectation. I personally chose to go there and go pretty equity heavy. Please DM me if you want chat, my Brex offer maxed out at $460K + 40K signing if you want a data point on my offer as well. Good luck and congratulations.
Yea, I'm bullish on their valuation jumping as well, just because they're starting to scratch the surface with enterprise customers. Is that $30B target value something you heard from them, or something you've determined?
Something I heard as the "floor" from multiple brex engineers. From my valuation I think they have a huge TAM but their revenue def needs to grow to reach that value. Thankfully they have very strong revenue growth numbers to match
Personally like Plaid product.
Is this true? Friend is a recruiter there and said churn isn’t any higher than normal
So is it safe to say folks aren't too optimistic of the stock growing meaningfully again?
Brex is choose your own split? So you can theoretically have 300k base?
RIP to all the people voting robinhood
I wonder which one OP picked
Yeah OP please let us know. Only reason I revived this thread is that I'm interviewing with Brex and Stripe
