Blind Community,

Does it make sense to stay at low tc job for immigration purposes? See my TC is low for Blind but for where I live it is okay . I checked the prevailing wage threshold and I am actually on the higher end here.
Current employer has started PERM, PWD should be approved in a couple of months and then you have recruitment and PERM filing and I-140.

But I am interviewing with Walmart, Visa inc, Microsoft. Have onsite scheduled with them and phone screen with others. Its just that after Meta/Facebook lawsuit, I am not sure whether big tech employers will be able to pass Labor Market Test (LMT) due to how now companies have to make a much larger effort. Since I only have a BS in CS I am thinking a lot of companies my PERM recruitment would fail and then you cant file I-140 and green card. What are your thoughts?

TC: 75K

Its up to you, if you can take the risk. I personally will not stay. Even if 75k is good in your area, it will not allow much savings for me

Well big tech companies account for all these things while making the offer so no worries, just make sure you are clear about sponsorship during interview.

Also, I'm surprised to find this tc as valid for LCA, which location is it ?

I am waiting for my gc as well.

I would take a better offer and restart the process.

But my wife does not have a work permit until we get our gc. Thats my reason to stay.

I have been interviewing for my org quite a lot. No americans yet :(

Some folks with very impressive resumes but then during the interview they are not what we were looking for.

      Only a handful get hired.

If the new company makes an offer to you is because there was no us worker applying. Once the perm starts things will not be very different.

It is very rare that they will post the position and then they would hire an american to replace you xD

Apple, its bit more complicated. Employers generally avoid conducting interviews because they are subjective so even if they find 1 us worker qualified on paper, PERM cannot be filed.
I agree it would make sense to hire me on H1B and replace me during PERM time but there are complications.

Oracle, I am asking whether I should stay at low tc job instead of trying for big tech? I don't quite understand your statement. Even Microsoft etc will attempt to file I-140 for me.
