I had a interview with Google back in December for an FTE position, but did not get in. (Got to on-site, and did well afaik.) A recruiter is now getting in touch with me for a contract position at similar pay rates (but on contract, obviously), but given that the FTE position is what I was aiming for initially, I'm not sure I want to signal to Google that I'm available as a contractor.
Also, I heard that there is a lifetime number of interviews Google will give you. If so, do contractor interviews count against that?
Tl;Dr: Should I take Google's contract role, or should I hold out for another FTE shot later?

Additionally, I’ve heard that transfer interviews tend to be easier than external interviews due to bias.
