Is it smart/good to look for a job and work for the Bio, Medical, Healthcare, Pharma industry right now? Should I NOT look at this industry with everything going on with Corona and vaccine?

Pros:
1. Great wlb across the industry
2. More recession proof then tech companies that operate in a niche area but have made big money like lyft, doordash, etc
3. No pip culture and constantly trying to work your a** off
4. Majority people are older than the tech industry so that relates to 1 and 3, but also provides for greater room to prove your tech skills
5. Great gender diversity, pretty much a 50:50 ratio. Great racial diversity as well.
Cons:
1. At some points you might feel like you are making a difference but that feeling will soon be overcome when you realize every healthcare company is for profit and it shows in their decisions internally, so it's no different from any other industry
2. Everyone wants to work in specific departments like the oncology or vaccine dept etc so yeah there's internal politics, no different than other industries again
3. Tech is outdated especially because it is viewed as a tool to get things done, but not the primary focus. Expect your stakeholders or team mates to not be at par with your tech skills or even willing to learn new things a lot
4. No or very few rsu so comp takes a hit. A director with 10+ years experience earns $250k which is equivalent to the pay of an swe with 4 yoe
Very poor TC compared to IT. No RSU as well.
Unless ones job is in niche field of pharma/bio-med it's not worth it.
You can get job with better TC in IT as project manager.
At strike price my RSU would have been between 5-10% of my base pay. It's now looking higher only because of increasing value.
