Hey there, First time posting, long time lurking. Was hoping to get a general idea of what you guys think about my role and compensation. Any input/feedback would be appreciated. Employer : Spectrum (Charter Communications) Role : Business Analyst (non technical)- Customer Operations Location: Stamford, CT Compensation : $81k + 10% annual bonus YOE : 8 years I come from Finance, but life happened and I went through a messy marriage which resulted in an even messier divorce. Lost my job and ended up having to lower my tax bracket and became a sales representative (TC: 40k) for Spectrum selling cable. After divorce finalized, I ended up transitioning into the corporate side. Didn’t negotiate, because salary went from 40k to 81k. I know I’m severely underpaid, but I’m not sure how severe it is. I’m not in a technical role. We work more on the corporate strategy/business development side. Thanks in advanced!
81k is like an entry level engineer job at charter. Wouldn’t recommend moving into tech there, salary is not the only area they are weak. This is a place that causes self inflicted outages because they do not possess the talent to automate their network (just opinion). Great though if you want to learn nothing for 10+ years and have sports fan buddies at work lol
