Looking to buy a car, cant decide between a Subaru outback or a Tesla Model Y. My gf and i are both outdoorsy, skiing/surfing/hiking so the choice is between these two cars due to the combination of space & snow performance. The tesla is more expensive, though i dont think that i would get self driving at first. What would people recommend? Also does the cost of electric significantly beat that of gas? Also, wondering if insurance works significantly different for tesla/electric cars. #auto #tesla #subaru TC: 220k
Hyundai Palisade or Kia Telluride. If you want something smaller, any of the AWD Kia or Hyundai SUVs will do. Subies are overpriced, IMHO.
The name Telluride sounds like an insole brand. đ
people are crazy about these itseems and dealers are putting a markup price of above 6k over MSRP on these. Better to wait maybe
I created compare post, search for my post.
Grab the Tesla. Be ahead of the curve
We love our Subaru Outback. Fantastic car for outdoors. No doubt there. We now have a Tesla Model Y too. Absolute beast. I wouldnât need a Subaru if I have a Tesla. If you can afford initial investment then go with Tesla. Itâs actually cheaper in long run. There are many things we love, like camp mode for eg.
Hows the Y in snow?
AWD Teslas are excellent in the snow, especially with snow tires. What the Tesla isnât great for is poorly maintained forest service roads that require high clearance. I love my Tesla, but nothing they sell currently has a high clearance so if thatâs important to you either wait for cybertruck or go with something else.
If decided Tesla, wait for $7.5k tax credit official announcement soon.
What is that?
Outback \m/
Buy Subaru for car and $TSLA for stock.
Get a used Model S.
Neither. Buy $tsla for 30k
Exactly, then buy the cybertruck with your profits next year.
Mazda CX-5 2021 are tremendously good cars
Small back seats
Extremely congested back seat, clumsy touch screen, average MPG, not a capable AWD system as Subaru and Outdated Design.
