Buying house in Mountain house

Hi All I would like to get some feedback on whether to buy home in Mountain house CA. I am currently renting and working in Sunnyvale. My budget is around 650k which I don't think I can get anything decent in East Bay. I am looking for feedback on 1. Commute 2. Neighborhood 3. Schools 4. Quality of life there And anything which you think that I should consider 😊

It would be a 3+ hour daily commute FYI

I am assuming it is to and fro

I used to commute from Tracy to Hayward and that took 1.5 hours each way. Add another 30-45 mins to get to Sunnyvale. You’ll spend 1/6 of your life in your car. In traffic...

One of those places you move to so you can have a huge house and be far from anything interesting. It's like East of Dublin/Pleasanton/Livermore.

WTF

It’s a good option if you can work from home for at least 2-3 days / week and your spouse is not working (assuming you have kids).

Try Hayward/Castro Valley area. Should find something more reasonable and have a better commute

Try Dublin

I thought you were talking about Mountain view until I saw the 650K

That’s a life sucking commute. Buy something for 800k that needs work and has a detached garage that you can rent out.

Never heard of Mountain House. I thought you said Mountain View. Sounds like a rough commute living that far from work!

Take ACE to Great America. Buy a cheap car and park it there overnight for last mile commute.
