BTW polish women are stunning
When I was in the city (Warsaw) by myself, I did not feel like there's a good way to get a sense of belonging, like when you fit in really well. Locals aren't particularly welcoming outside of the touristy spots. Central/eastern Europeans aren't treated with the highest respect in western Europe so once the walls break down they get that you're treated similarly and that's a way to bond too.
You would face subtle discrimination in everyday life there, but you just need to grow a thicker skin. There's no threat for safety if that's something you're worried about.
The city itself has a lot of history obviously, you notice signs of war and very limited pre war architecture. It's inspiring what they've overcome and the story is poetic in a way
