For example, acorn is now giving $1000 for 4 successful invites (https://acorns.com/invite/PUFMJC if you want to use mine). Also Google Pay was giving away $21 per successful invite last December. What would be the true conversion rate of such aggressive user acquisition strategy? Is it just execs want good growth numbers? Seems like this is some very desperate try and such growth won’t be sustainable or profitable.

  • What's their definition of successful invite? $1000 for 4 is probably based on them making $250 on average off of their users within x months, and they've forgotten to adjust for abuse
