  Once an S-1 is filed with the SEC, the company can choose when it actual goes public (if at all). Lots of things can delay it from happening though (lawsuits, unfavorable market conditions, holidays, etc). In ideal conditions, there are typically multiple weeks of “roadshow” before finally listing. Sometimes companies get acquired right before listing. So...who knows.
