  • Lmao @ people saying Amazon

Amazon makes all their $ from cloud services that save companies $. In recession, they probably break even or net more customers.

I’d be more concerned about google/meta, who makes all their $ from ads, since marketing budgets are the first thing people cut, or Netflix, since they’re already losing subs, or apple since they’re a luxury brand

During recession, ads spend don't go down as much you'd think.
Regardless of how much you save, aws would be affected by the overall decline in demand because of less investment in tech.

    • Amazon might lose growth, but certainly not business. AWS isn’t “tech budget”, it’s where people run their entire business, same with Azure. Storage, compute, collab, security&access, those touch every part of business from supply chain to sales

Apple has survived through multiple recessions and came out bigger every time. Safest place to be.

  • Apple will take the biggest hit. People don’t buy luxury products in a recession

Overall demand for everything will drop due to businesses failing. A good amount of startups and small/medium companies will fail in a recession.
