I’m doing tax filing first time, not aware of details, visited CPA, he charged me $600. I’m checking TurboTax now, it’s simple and exact calculations in 10 min. CPA: Jessie Tax Services http://g.co/kgs/a9znRE What can I do?
Don’t do taxes with them next year ?
Work until paying 600 to save you 10 minutes is a worthwhile investment.
$600 is way too much. Did the CPA give you that quote in advance?
What was the scope of work? And did you shop around for the price?
Learn from your mistake and try not to make the same one twice? You can reach out to him and ask why he charged so much. But you’re at his mercy.
What can you do ? Lol Just do it by yourself next time.
You contributed to overpriced CPAs
CPA training is expensive and they have massive student debts. You should have tipped 20% over 600.
Wasn’t the whole reason of tipping to compensate for their bad pay? If the CPA is making 600$ for 10 mins, fuck the tip, even I don’t make that much.
Why do you say "even I don't make that much"? What's with the "even"? Of course CPAs deserve more than what they get and certainly more than software engineers/managers. Techies are so entitled smh.
Become a CPA?
If you don’t own a business don’t use a CPA.
