None of these options really call out the fact that FB didnโt try to avoid the 30%, they just wanted to put a text line that says โApple will take 30% from this transactionโ so that Fb users know that when they buy from a local business through FB app, the business will lose a cut to Apple (kind of ridiculous).
FB does not take any revenue in the exchange. I know โblue company badโ and โfruit company goodโ but I donโt really see how you can defend Apple in this PARTICULAR case.
FB is making money off ads from these events and does not need any cut from the donations. Which it is not mentioning. Facebook is not donating any ad money from thesr events either. There are public posts where zuck said he has stopped donation and donation matching due to pandemic. Hiding the complete truth and playing the victim card is the classic โKARENโ move.
@apple another whataboutist, the question has nothing to do with ads, the question is obv: why apple blocks fb to say what apple is doing... But all ppl from apple here like: "B-Butttt FB ... FB is BAD ADS bad FB look zuk is rich mah" and nothing constructive to answer the question
What monopoly? There is android, and a ton of other OS out there. But it's so trashy. You want the best and don't want to pay for it? What you smoking bro?
Think of all the FB scandals past few years. People still flock to their apps because public memory is short and they donโt care about ethics as long as they are getting what they want.
